Here we see the same mentality, although we are in the “Switzerland" of Latin America we don’t see anyone bragging cars, houses, watches or anything else.
Happy New Year! We are writing from “Switzerland” of South America. Welcome to 2026, we are launching our New Website today (more below) and there’s a special opportunity for our readers to keep me in their “special inbox” during this wonderful 2026.
Warren Buffett is officially retired as CEO, he remains as Chairman, most people will think of him as a nobody.
I know the business world…if you choose to not be in the picture… they think you are entirely retired, he’s not. So don’t listen to this people that most of the writers repeat… All they want is retired in a a place like here…
Here it’s calm, it’s safe, your body and mind can get deserved space and you are more likely to think independently, as we.
We don’t live in any of the worlds capital, nor a financial hub like Frankfurt, London and NYC, still we can say we beated Warren Buffett again, although he will be missed for us, apprentices of his business wisdom… in our case we will also miss having his yearly performance so we could compare ourselves.
I don’t want to beat the SP&500 where most people think as crowds, we prefer to “beat" a wise man and keep reminding ourselves we don’t have all his wealth… neither 50% of his age... So it’s just fun to try to test our knowledge and compare to the masters who are always having fun, tap dancing on work and keeping his cards for himself.
Here we see the same mentality, although we are in the “Switzerland" of Latin America we don’t see anyone bragging cars, houses, watches or anything else.
It’s just peace and beach… where cows outnumber people… A cup of tea a nice chat, sun and wind, what more could we ask for a new year?
There’s also great international development, this place is an international phenomenon. Here I feel like when I was living in Silicon Valley, this place is founded by Spanish immigrants, like California, houses are similar, more fractal, pace of life is great, real estate opportunities and buildings like the only Trump Building in South America, the Cipriani (NYC Icon), the Fendi…
