Sometimes I’m in China, Germany, Uruguay, Brazil… each place is unique, especially because of its people.
One Chinese competitor who once made an offer to buy us told me that Brazil’s roads were zigzagging—he was right. He later mentioned that his first trip to Brazil was very peculiar.
Although Brazil is an expensive country, roads, infrastructure, and business are not costly compared to other places.
When I lived in the US, some friends told me Brazilians are very rich. In a way, they were right—we eat well, spend well. However, the taxes we pay to the government don’t translate into public infrastructure.
Yesterday, I had the embarrassing privilege of meeting the vice-president of one of the largest banks in Brazil. He came to the office with his team.
The moment I heard his name, I thought the investor relations website would provide better context for the funny thing that happened next…
What they do? Is it good or bad?
Many companies have dozens of Vice-Presidents and CEOs.
The case is well-known among investors… It’s really unproductive. Sometimes I wonder if they even know what they do. Still, they have a paycheck, and they have to keep moving…
